GIANTS Software has officially revealed the Beans & Alpacas Expansion for Farming Simulator 25. The new expansion will take players to Catuaí, a warm South American farming region filled with coffee plantations, rivers, colorful rural buildings and entirely new agricultural opportunities.

The expansion is scheduled for release on October 27 and will be available separately or as part of a new edition that also includes the Farming Simulator 25 base game.

A New South American Region

Catuaí is a completely new farming environment inspired by Brazil. Its landscape combines rolling hills, lower mountain slopes, dense vegetation and a winding river surrounded by houses built along the shoreline.

Narrow roads, plantations, rural shops and local production facilities give the map a noticeably different atmosphere compared with the regions already available in Farming Simulator 25.

The warmer climate also affects how farming works. Catuaí uses a crop calendar designed around the southern hemisphere, which means that planting and harvesting seasons differ from the other FS25 maps.

Coffee Farming Comes to FS25

Coffee is one of the most important new crops included in the expansion. Players will be able to establish their own coffee plantations and develop a production business around one of Catuaí’s signature products.

Coffee can be planted beginning in September, while the red coffee cherries become ready for harvesting in May. This introduces a new seasonal farming cycle and should make planning work across the year more important.

New production chains will allow the harvested crops and animal products to be processed into additional goods, creating more ways to expand the farm and generate income.

Alpacas and Brahman Cattle

The expansion also introduces alpacas to Farming Simulator 25. Players will be able to raise them, collect their fleece and process it into wool.

Alpacas can also be led on a leash to improve their happiness, adding another interactive activity to animal care.

Brahman cattle will join the animal selection as well. The breed fits the warm Catuaí environment and helps distinguish the new region from the European and North American maps already present in the game.

More Than 25 New Machines

Beans & Alpacas will add over 25 machines and vehicles from a wide selection of manufacturers.

The announced brands include Case IH, Ford, John Deere, KUHN, Mercedes-Benz Trucks, New Holland, Oxbo, Stara and Valtra. Colombo Industries will make its first appearance in the Farming Simulator series with equipment designed for the new crops and regional farming conditions.

GIANTS Software has also announced improved sugarcane foliage and visual effects, more detailed ground-working animations and additional fieldwork improvements.

Buildings, Interiors and Collectibles

Catuaí will include a large collection of new placeable buildings and decorations. Six houses will feature complete interiors, while dozens of additional objects will allow players to create farms matching the character of the new region.

Exploration will extend beyond farming. Players will be able to discover dinosaur bones, collect them for a museum and construct a dedicated Research Center.

These additions should give players more reasons to explore the map and develop the areas surrounding their farms.

Release Date and Availability

The Farming Simulator 25 Beans & Alpacas Expansion will be released on October 27. The expansion and an edition containing both the expansion and the base game are already available for pre-order.

GIANTS Software has confirmed that more information about its machines, features and gameplay additions will be revealed before launch.

Why This Expansion Is Worth Watching

Beans & Alpacas appears to be much more than a standard machinery pack. A new map, different crop calendar, coffee production, additional animals and new production chains could significantly change how players plan and develop their farms.

Catuaí also gives Farming Simulator 25 a setting that looks and feels different from the existing regions. We will share further information as GIANTS Software reveals more details about the expansion.
